Preventing tomorrow’s problem today.

Technology, connectivity and diagnostic tools help spot and fix problems before they occur

Chances are you hear about problems all the time in your job. Wouldn’t it be nice to hear about something that was fixed before it caused a problem? With Trane Predictive Services we can identify and resolve many issues before they result in costly and inconvenient system failure.

Leveraging connectivity, data analysis and Trane’s extensive HVAC system expertise we’re able to monitor your system’s overall health, watch for system anomalies and identify potential problems early. We’ll provide you with the details and notify you if service or corrective actions are needed. The best part, all of this take place before it becomes a problem for you.

Inspect Fluids & Lubricants with our HVAC Specialized Chemical Laboratory

The oils, refrigerants and solutions in your HVAC system tell a story. And our Chemical Laboratory is dedicated to analyzing these fluids. We extract fluids from your HVAC system to mointor system health, identify potential issues, and provide maintenance recommendations based on the results.

Vibration analysis to proactively identify issues

Sometimes you can’t put your finger on it, but you just know something’s wrong with your HVAC equipment. It sounds different. You hear something you’ve not heard before, you feel something different, or it seems to be running just a little hotter.  These symptoms could be warning signs of component damage or impending system failure.

Trane uses handheld vibration analysis tools to collect recordings quickly. Then we send them to the cloud for machine-learning enabled diagnostics, and provide diagnostics in near-real time. Ultrasonic listening devices help us “hear” potential leaks and system anomalies -- one of the most effective ways to detect imminent system failure.

Electromagnetic induction helps us identify tube wear and possible future failure in boilers, chillers, steam-to-hot water exchangers and other thermal systems. Infrared thermography uses digital imaging to spot abnormal thermal conditions inside high-speed equipment, electrical panels and heating and cooling equipment.

Crosstown Concourse

It was a 30-year decision, and we wanted to look at things differently

Our goal was to get the chiller down to 10 percent capacity; we watched them get it down to 5 percent. We were able to buy fewer chillers with more tonnage. It was more efficient, less costly, and we now have open space for storage or to rent.
