The ServiceTitan National HVAC Championship aims to highlight and recognize the trade industry and contributions all HVAC technicians make.

About the Championship
Once a year, two competitors take place: one for HVAC apprentices and one for HVAC professionals. The competition is open to HVAC apprentices with less than 3 years of experience, as well as any professionals who are EPA-certified, licensed technicians, and have over 3 years of experience. Finalists compete for the chance to
win a share of $100,000!
Round 1
5-minute Digital quiz
Questions provided by NATE to test technicians’ HVAC knowledge.
Round 2
Qualifying At-home Competition
Top 36 professionals and top 36 apprentices from Round 1 will advance to Round 2, where they will be sent at home test kits and film themselves completing the task.
Round 3
Finals in Florida
Top 10 Professionals and top 10 apprentices will compete for the title of “ServiceTitan National HVAC Champion” and to prove they are the best of the best.
Celebrate Our 2023 Trane Competitors
Rusty Barnes is the Training and Service Manager for elite Trane dealer, Bradham Brothers Heating, Cooling, and Electrical based out of Charlotte, NC. He competed in last year's competition with remarkable dedication. For 7 weeks, he took the Round 1 quiz every single day! He advanced to Round 2, where he was one of 38 professionals and apprentices to make it that far. Then, advancing to the finals where he was one of 15 to compete showcasing his exceptional skills and expertise.
Auston Pickard is an HVAC Service Technician for elite Trane dealer, Aire Solutions in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He possesses extensive experience working with Trane equipment. Auston competed in both 2022 and 2023 championships advancing to the finals both years, where he was one of 15 professionals to compete for the chance to win demonstrating his remarkable skills and determination.
