A factory installed sound enclosure is provided with eFlex variable speed scrolls in 40-70T Ipak units. Variable speed scrolls sound much different from fixed speed scrolls. This becomes obvious when the sound enclosure is opened for service. To assist with troubleshooting, sample sound recordings of a normal eFlex Variable Speed Scroll are provided below. The first four sound recordings are with the sound enclosure open. Condensers fans and other compressors are off. The last recording demonstrates that the variable speed compressor is barely audible even at maximum speed when the sound enclosure is installed. Condenser fans are the dominate sound.
